Lady Gaga is expanding her Mayhem era with a new filmed performance that will reach both streaming audiences and moviegoers.
A new announcement confirms that the project captures a one-night-only show filmed Jan. 14 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. The performance features reworked versions of songs from Mayhem, presented inside a stage setting inspired by the ruined opera house design from Gaga’s Mayhem Ball tour.
The film is set to stream on Apple Music, giving subscribers a closer look at the theatrical side of the album’s live presentation. Select U.S. cities will also host free, one-night-only theater screenings, turning the release into a shared event for fans who want to experience it on a larger screen.
A live album version of the performance will also be made available on demand for subscribers.
The release adds another layer to Gaga’s current album cycle, pairing the music with the dramatic visual style that has helped define this phase of her career.
