Hey All,
If you could have a 3 day weekend & in return work an extra couple of hours per day during the week...would ya do it? Heck, I'm in! Hope you have a great weekend.
Rain is supposed to move in, so tonight Karen & I are headed out to dinner at a new winery & then hopefully going to see either The Dark Knight or Step Brothers. BTW...where did THAT movie come from? Seems just a few weeks ago I saw a preview for Step Brothers with Will Ferrell & John C. Reilly and now it's out in theatres starting tonight. Well, if you liked Talladega Nights then this should be along the same lines. I need to go see the Dark Knight first, so if you head out and catch Step Brothers....shoot me an email to chrislynn@warm98.com and tell me how it is...good or bad.

It's the half mark of the work week...weekend is finally in sight! Hey, just a reminder to sign up for tickets today for Rick Braun & Richard Elliott this friday night w/ special guest Mindi Abair in concert at Fraze Pavillion. Just go to the Smooth Jazz Saturday Night "under construction" website and register to win. I'll be picking winners by 5pm today!
On another obscure note, i know the Journey/Heart & Cheap Trick concert is coming up later this summer at Riverbend. Many of you have called asking about tickets for the show, and mentioning Journey's new CD/DVD/Greatest Hits that was released last week and is only available at Wal-Mart stores. Well......the label sent us a copy of it here at the station, and it's 3 discs, the 3rd one being re-recorded greatest hits featuring Journey's new lead singer Arnel Pineda. That's the only disc i've listened to breifly....but i will say the new lead singer does sound more like Steve Perry. If you're one of the Journey heads out there, you'll probably enjoy the new box-set, although I was really irritated with the "click track" in the background on all of the Journey ballads. As many times as Journey has performed "Open Arms" you'd think they could do it without a click track in the background. Maybe it was a mistake on our promotional copy and was removed for the consumer copies, but if you buy one...and you hear....tick-tock... yeah....that annoying sound in the background is the click track to keep the band playing in sync.
