What's Going On??!!!

Find your sign...and follow! Amazing...mine (Cancer) fit me to a T!!! Bobbi

New Year's diet and fitness resolutions are nothing new, but perhaps one of the toughest resolutions to keep. This year, resolve to change just a few small things. Slow, steady progress is the way. For greater success, make choices that are in harmony with your astrological temperament.

Aries
Aries needs a challenge - exciting resolutions have the best chance of success. For you, it could be using a pedometer to keep improving the speed, distance, or time of a daily walk. Discipline around food can be more difficult for you. Consider a resolution to eat more berries and raw nuts for snacks, instead of chips or ice cream. Make it dangerous! Keep a jar of hot chili in the fridge and make yourself eat some any time you break your resolution!

Taurus
For Taurus, resolutions are all about habits and keeping things simple. So what habit would you like to change? It could be something as simple as switching to whole grain toast and steel-cut oats for breakfast. Or, buy most of your food from the outside perimeter of the grocery store - unhealthy processed foods are found closer to the center. What exercise do you like? A daily walk to enjoy the beauty of nature can firm muscles and ease your mind.

Gemini
Gemini needs a buddy to support any lasting lifestyle change. You will be smart to set up a "Resolution Blog" to share your experiences and receive much needed feedback to keep you motivated. For you, a walk around any busy neighborhood can make exercising a breeze. Gemini is curious and will benefit from reading food labels. A powerful resolution in terms of weight loss and overall health would be to refuse to buy anything containing high fructose corn syrup.

Cancer
Cancer often hates formal exercise and loves to eat. This can make keeping any health and fitness resolutions a challenge. For you, walking children or dogs, or walking to visit someone in need can combine caring for others with a fitness plan. Adapt favorite family recipes to a less fried, less sugar, less refined carbohydrate mode. Lose weight and look great with a resolution to eat at least one big salad a day containing at least five different colored vegetables and a healthy dressing like oil and vinegar.

Leo
Leo likes to have fun! You are not going to do anything for long that does not give you a feeling of pleasure. Grand resolutions will only leave you feeling guilty. The whole secret is to do something you truly like. Leo can easily indulge in high-calorie desserts. Resolve to try alternatives such as frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, or fresh fruit and real whipped cream instead of store-bought pastries. Simple steps like this can make a big difference.

Virgo
For Virgo, resolving to improve your diet includes adding more lightly steamed vegetables, fresh fruits, and simple grains such as brown rice and oats to your diet. Give it a month and see how good you feel! Virgo finds it easiest to make a healthy change if they feel they are helping others in the process. Lucky Virgos will have a dog who demands a daily walk. An exercise buddy going with you can keep your resolutions on track.

Libra
Libra will have the best success with any resolution if you are willing to join a group. You are the person that Weight-Watchers, Curves, and exercise classes were made for! Getting out and being social makes exercise more enjoyable. As far as food goes, consider taking a class that introduces you to more simple and healthy alternatives. Online health and fitness sites can also help you discover simple tricks for healthy living. Small changes over time have the best results.

Scorpio
Scorpio is the one sign that can make a resolution and stick to it with little outside support. It must be something you believe in. Do your homework - your flare for research can help you choose diet and exercise plans that work for you. For you, a daily walk a good rule. Cutting out high fructose corn syrup and chemically based colors in favor of fresh, even organic, vegetables, eggs, and locally grown meats can bring a spring into your step.

Sagittarius
Sagittarius often starts with big plans and quickly gives up. The secret to a successful resolution about health and fitness is to take baby steps before you run. You will be happiest doing anything that expands your horizons and allows you to get out and explore your world. Bike riding, speed walking, or regular dancing will help keep you in top shape. Resolve to try one new vegetable or fruit each week to add into your healthier lifestyle.

Capricorn
Capricorn will be able to keep any resolution that you believe will support your long-term success in other areas. Mix exercise with what you may see as more "practical" concerns. This could mean walking to work, an afternoon walk with someone dear, or sports that help you network and build teams. Changing food habits can be more difficult. Identify one unhealthy habit you can change or improve each month. If you fall off the resolution wagon, simply start again.

Aquarius
Aquarius your best hope of having success with a resolution is the "buddy plan." Recruit someone you enjoy talking with and build a support system. It is important not to reject good ideas simply because they are not your original invention. A health web site can get you started and give you great suggestions along the way. It does not matter what you do, as long as you have someone you respect helping you keep your resolution.

Pisces
For Pisces, resolutions can start off well and flow away like smoke. The best hope for you is to include diet and fitness as part of a more spiritual discipline. This might mean becoming a vegetarian, or at least making a resolution to eat more locally grown and truly delicious fruits and vegetables. Yoga and tai chi are wonderful ways to strengthen your body and balance your spirit. Do not beat yourself up if you would rather nap some of the time.

Bobbi's Bio

Bobbi Maxwell is another of the "home-grown" members of the WARM 98 Airstaff. Having grown up in the West Chester area, she attended the Lakota School district, where she made the early decision to get into the broadcasting field after seeing an "easy credit" opportunity by taking the high school's Radio Broadcasting I course. Little did she know the microphone would become her bread and butter as well as music her passion.

Bobbi also briefly attended Miami University/Middletown, but not long enough to become a full-fledged Redhawks fan... her closet is instead filled with UC Bearcats logos...after being a long-time season ticket holder, even through the lean years!

She is also a single mom of two daughters, Dana and Hannah, and resides on the east side of town.

Bobbi's time away from the station is usually spent with her girls, her extended family of eight brothers and sisters, or with her yellow lab puppy, Marley and cat, Lucky !

Bobbi also loves to read, garden, go to yard sales, concerts and movies, as well as travel and of course, listen to music!
